Rosalia Beetles are also known as Alpine Longhorn Beetles and are unique looking species with very long antenna. The larvae of the beetle are notorious for drilling large holes in dead wood. They mostly can be found in the Alps, Slovakia, Germany, Hungary, Poland and Slovenia.
Adult beetles are active from June to September and fly around. By day the beetles sit near flowers and feed on the pollen. They make a chirping sound by scraping their rear legs and coloured shields together.

Constructing the Rosalia Beetle is a precise and very delicate task. The small and super detailed parts of the beetle-body are made of black cardboard. The shields are made of unique metallic paper to mimic the colourful effect of the real exotic Rosalia Beetles.
You can mount the beetle on the wall with or without the supplied white cardboard display. You can also put the beetle on the white cardboard display and place it on your desk, shelf, side-table or wherever!

It takes about 15 minutes to assemble the Assembli beetle yourself.
